To be a soldier of Christ
HOUSTON, Tx. October 20, 2018 (Berea International).— Once again, youths from across the United States filled the facilities of the Regional Temple of the Light of the World Church in Houston. The noon topic was assigned to Evangelist Pastor (E.P.) Eliezer Gutierrez in the area assigned for Spanish speakers. Inside the temple, Overseer Nick Ynda presided the same study for anglophone Brethren. Each of them spoke regarding the meaning of “being a soldier of Christ.”
The battle of Christians, as Apostle Paul declares, is not against flesh or blood, but against spiritual hosts (Eph. 6:12), therefore, being a soldier of Christ does not consist of a material preparation, but of spiritual education, knowing the doctrine of Christ, an understanding of the Everlasting Gospel.
Throughout his ministry, the Apostle of Jesus Christ has been arming the youth to confront their enemies: ignorance, sin, and fear. They are preparing to deliver the knowledge of the truth, freedom of forgiveness, and the virtues of God’s grace.
